Mercy and grace

More on Ephesians . . . July/August 2017
ďBut God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of  our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead (It is only by Godís grace that you have been saved!)Ē
Where would we be without Godís mercy?
Dead. Lost eternally from His presence.
Why did God, our Maker, come to this earth and sacrifice Himself for us?
Because of His great love for us.
ďFor He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.Ē
When God raised Jesus from the dead, by the power of His Holy Spirit, LIFE was imparted once again into Him. That life was offered to us, because it was US that  it was for. We didnít earn it. It was and still is today, a GIFT. The gift of life.
When someone donates an organ to save anotherís life, we say how wonderful that act of love is from the donor. Well, Jesus donated His entire life to save ours. I believe that the name of everyone that has ever lived was already written in the heavenly Book of Life from the beginning of time. It is up to each one of us, individually, to accept Jesus and His great sacrifice, and make sure our names never fade away, but remain in that Book of Life. We have the great honour of one day being seated with Jesus in heaven.
After the great sacrifice God made by giving His Son as a sacrifice for us, He is always going to stand by His promises to us.
Eternal Life * Health and Healing * Provision
When we humble ourselves before God, and accept Jesusí sacrifice, we enter into a  wonderful relationship with a loving Father and His Son, our Saviour, and the Holy Spirit of Peace, Comfort and Truth.
For we can never see God without a relationship with Jesus His Son.
ďI am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no-one comes to the Father except through Me.Ē ~ John 14:6

Ephesians 1 . . .  October 2016
Paulís prayer in this first chapter of Ephesians in verse 17 is that, ďThe God of our Lord Jesus Christ ~ the Father of glory ~  may give to us a Spirit of wisdom ~ and of revelation ~ in the knowledge of Him.Ē
He then goes on to write in verses 18-21 about  ~
1. The Hope of Godís calling upon our lives. This is eternal life.
2. The Riches of the Glory of Godís inheritance that we have in Him. This is forgiveness, healing, provision, peace and comfort, and so much more.
3. The surpassing greatness of Godís Power toward us who believe. This is His love, mercy and grace.
These three things are ~
In accordance with the working of the strength of His (Godís) might, which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him (Jesus) from the dead, and seated Him at His (Godís) right hand in the heavenly places ~ Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.
Godís strength and might is what raised Jesus from the dead, therefore ~
>Any Hope we may have in our future is guaranteed through Godís strength and might that is so great He can even raise souls from the dead. Even ours when our bodies die. Therefore, Salvation through Christ, and Eternal life.
>The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, is comforting, because of Jesusí great sacrifice, He inherited the seat at the right hand of God the Father, where He  continually intercedes for every one of us. When we accept what Jesus did for us and Who He Is, we become inheritors of the same riches and glory. Salvation, healing, our sins forgiven, and eternal life with Jesus and God the Father and Holy Spirit.
>Godís amazing greatness and power and ability to do astounding works for us is outmatched by no-one. He created us. We turned away from Him, our Maker, and sinned, and He in His great love and mercy, put a plan into place to redeem us, to save us, to give us the opportunity of reclaiming our eternal life.
So, if we accept Jesus as our Saviour, we can be assured of a future of ~ Hope ~ given to us from God's great abundance of riches ~ and love, and mercy and grace ~ Our inheritance ~ along with all other believers ~ in the Glory of God ~ and eternal life in the presence of that amazing Glory.
ďBy grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.Ē ~ Ephesians 2:8

God is Merciful . . .

God is so merciful.
He gave Moses direction to successfully walk out of Egypt with something like three million people. God fed them, clothed them, healed them and led them through the wilderness of the desert to the promised land.
God was so compassionate and gracious and patient with the Hebrews in the wilderness. He only got really angry and took action when they had forsaken Him and turned to other gods, by creating a golden calf (an Egyptian god) to worship in place of Him.
He is the same with us. He understands our humanity, because Jesus became a man and understands and intercedes for us. The thing that upsets God, is when we forget about Him and seek other interests : anything that consumes our time, over time with God, is our idol, our god. But He is slow to anger, He gives us every opportunity to return to Him, because He does not want anyone to perish, He wants us all to be with Him for eternity.
God's MERCY endures forever. That actually means FOREVER, ETERNALLY.
"O bless you Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, I bless your Holy Name." Psalm 103:1
"The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness." Psalm 103:8
In fact read all of Psalm 103!

God is Gracious . . .
God is also very Gracious. Mercy is kindness and favour, but God's GRACE is Oh so much more ~
It is divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in my life.
It is a gift, it is abundant joy, it is amazing!
God's loving act of sending His only Son to earth to redeem us from our sins is absolute proof of His Amazing Grace. Because of this we have His grace to draw upon every day. And just as His grace was enough for Abraham, Moses, Noah, Isaiah, David and Paul and the Apostles and countless others, so it is enough for us.
God's free gift to us, His amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me ~
A sound is several of the following, which if we apply to the Hymn, should go something like this ~
Amazing GRACE how sweet the
Sound, Cadence, Rhythm, Bang!, Resonance, Elation, Merriment, Voice ~ In my inner being (spirit) so thankful to God for His free gift of eternal life!
" For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8
